Mormon Beliefs
Entertainment and Media – Look for entertainment that makes your time better rather than worse. Look for the best. Avoid media that’s explicit in any way.
Music and Dancing – Music is wonderful and powerful (and can get stuck in your head). Don’t listen to songs with immoral lyrics and be careful about how you dance.
Language – Keep your language clean and wholesome. Don’t gossip and backbite.
Repentance – Every one of us sins, but through the Atonement of Christ we all can repent, too.
Honesty – Lying is sometimes easier than telling the truth in the short run, but dishonesty always catches up to us eventually. Be honest in everything.
Sabbath Day – Keeping the Sabbath day holy can be hard. It’s the weekend, right? But the advantages of keeping it holy far outweight that.
Tithes and Offerings – The Lord has given us everything and requires only a percentage back – and will bless us greatly for giving it to Him.
Physical Health – We must avoid drugs and alcohol and form healthy habits. Good eating, good exercise.
Service – Part of our purpose for being here on this earth is to look beyond ourselves and help others.
Faith – Faith in God is a continual, daily process. Even when life is difficult, Christ will help us.
