Are you a member of the Mormon Church? Have you heard of the Mormon Church? Did you stumble on here by accident and have no idea what this site could be about? Well, be you a member of any one of these categories, we hope you’ll enjoy this site. And, without further ado, we’ll tell you what it is. The Mormon Church is, like most Christian Churches, all about coming to Christ and following His commandments. You might have heard that it’s got strict standards. You might have heard that Mormons don’t drink or swear or have sex before marriage. |

And these standards can sound especially tough when a good deal of the world doesn’t have any problem with any of those things.
But the Mormon Church doesn’t have its standards to make people miserable, or not allow them to enjoy themselves. It’s the opposite. A lot of things that many people think are okay can be fun in the short term and painful in the long term. We all know that few people think smoking is a good idea, now, but, a few decades ago, it was fashionable. Even today, people who are not Mormon and not even strictly Christian are talking about how a shift to casual relationships, like living together, instead of marriage, wasn’t such a good idea either. Whenever we act on selfish things rather than selfless things, we can be putting ourself at risk for forming unhappy habits.
A lot of the Church is about not being selfish, which can be difficult when you’re still trying to find yourself, so to speak. The Church is more interested in family and community than individuals. We help each other, rather than just ourselves. This is how Christ lived, and if we would follow Christ, we should live like He did. To live like Christ and turn to Him is salvation and happiness. This is what Mormons believe.
This site is meant for youth, Mormon or not. It’s meant to explain how the gospel of Christ can bring us happiness and how striving for marriage is going to be what we want in the long run.
